As South Dakota’s only independent, non-tribal community college, Kilian feels a particular responsibility to our community, and to the businesses in our community.
We’re part of the Sioux Falls business community. Kilian Community College is a member of the Sioux Falls Area Chamber of Commerce. Our administration and faculty are active on dozens of community boards and committees.
And, as part of the business community, Kilian is responsive to changes and trends.
For instance, when the Bureau of Labor Statistics published new data on green jobs, stating that Green Careers are among the fastest growing career opportunities for students today, we just established the new Sustainability Careers program track.
Employers are seeing a need for professionals who understand sound environmental practices. And our students will benefit by being on the forefront of a new career path.
